Louis Poulsen presents the new OJ family
18.10.2010.
Danish designer Ole Jensen joined the well-known Louis Poulsen group of light designers. There is a statement at Louis Poulsen that well describes their concept: „To create something simple, you need to focus on details.“ This idea resulted with three forms of one great design – table, floor and wall lamp fixture, all together under one simple name, OJ.
Table lamp is made from steel and has the largest shade of the trio. For what is a major design issue on any table lamp, its unattractive cable, this time is used in a way it makes an interesting part of the whole design.
Wall fixture is also made from steel. Its housing shows no visible screws, and again, as the designer himself says, its cable makes an amusing part of the story.
The height of 130 centimeters of the floor lamp is suitable for evenings reserved for reading. The shape of shade focuses light where needed, hence does not bother anyone else in the room.
The simplicity of this fixture is ideal for any environment, whether it is modern or classic. The white color blends in every surrounding, and regardless the lamps are on or off, it does not matter, because the whole OJ family ensures its own identity in everyone’s home.
